Shahzeb Khattak
Personal Trainer | Sports Massage
5+ Years Experience
At the 2000 Laureus World Sports Awards, Nelson Mandela began his speech with the words “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire”. These words have had a profound impact on Shahzeb’s personal training journey. For a large part of the last decade, he has sought knowledge in various domains within the health and fitness industry, all the while contemplating how to bring into service this knowledge with the aim of improving individual health and community wellbeing.
Shahzeb has immersed himself in a variety of experiences to gain an understanding of the human body. This included attending Loughborough University to study Sports and Exercise Science, volunteering as a Strength & Conditioning intern for the Leicester Riders’ basketball team and learning from expert practitioners such as Tom Hibbert and Tony Holler alongside gaining experience within organisations such as British Swimming. Alongside this, he gained practical knowledge of sport massage therapy which affords him a deeper understanding of optimal training principles for ultimate biomechanical fitness and health.
With regards to personal training, Shahzeb utilises training principles that aim to optimise synchronicity between mind, body and spirit; thereby developing the client in a manner that maximises kinesiological efficiency and performance. He has worked with a diverse group of individuals in the past and has a comprehensive understanding of the different pathways needed to achieve specific goals. Moreover, he has also developed a refined sense of empathy and is particularly skilled in understanding and catering to clients’ mental and emotional needs.
Shahzeb envisions that one day he can use the power of sport and exercise to bring about widespread positive social change and help build a better world.
